Georges Briard Strawberry

Hope everyone is enjoying a very happy start to the new year!

Today I'm taking down the Christmas tree,
putting my house back in order,
and finding space for the beautiful gifts I received.

I have to show you what my Mom sent to me;
A vintage Georges Briard bent glass platter in the strawberry pattern.
Isn't it pretty?

Georges Briard  (Jascha Brojdo) was an artist/designer
known for his barware/kitchenware during the 50's, 60s and 70's.
I love his fabulous, fruity graphics.

Any Briard collectors out there?

This is the first I've heard of the gentleman, but your new platter is beautiful! I'm just taking a break from putting away the Christmas things, so I know what a big project you're tackling too:@)

Love learning something new! Thanks, I had never heard of him.
Your plate is a wonderful piece, somehow I see chocolate covered strawberries on it!

Oh nooo! Keep your decorations up until Twelfth Night! I'm enjoying mine until the 12 days of Christmas are officially over!

Your platter is beautiful - I've never heard of him before but he had a wonderful sense of style. They remind me a bit of heraldic shields.

Happy New Year - hope you have a wonderful year ahead.
